Terms & Condititions


  • All competitors perform at their own risk. Spirit Events will not be held liable for any injury, loss or damage to persons or property in relation to any Spirit Events competition

  • Spirit Events reserves the right to merge or split divisions

  • Crossovers are permitted at your own risk. Special consideration will not be guaranteed to accommodate for crossovers

  • The same routine cannot be entered twice (i.e. in two different divisions)

  • Timing will begin with the first organised or choreographed sound or movement by the team after being announced and end with the last organised or choreographed sound or movement by the team

  • Spirit Events must be notified of any changes to entries/required run sheet changes 48 hours prior the event start time

  • Any team proven to be in violation of the age restrictions will be automatically disqualified from the event


  • No flash photography

  • Spirit Events reserves the right to use any photos or video footage from events in publications and promotions or for commercial use

  • Individuals who do not wish to have their images used in publications and promotions should notify the Event Manager in writing prior to the event


  • Entry fees are non-refundable

  • Clubs may qualify for an athletes late payment extension, where 10% of their athletes entry fees can be paid by between July 6 and August 1. A late payment fee of $40 per athlete will apply. 

  • In the case of individual withdrawals supported by a medical certificate less than 2 weeks prior to the competition, refunds will be given minus an administrative fee of 30%.

  • If athletes participate in two different cheer or dance programs (e.g. a club and a school) they must pay two entry fees. Crossover rates only apply within the same programme.


  • All teams must be supervised by a credentialed coach when in the warmup area

  • Substitutions may be made in the event of any injury or other serious circumstance.

  • Substitutes must also abide by the age restrictions in all divisions and must not be competing for another club in the same competition

  • All cheer team coaches must be credentialed to at least the level of the team

  • Any question concerning the rules or procedures of the competition will be handled exclusively by one designated representative of the team  and will be directed only to the event manager or head judge. Such questions should be made prior to the team's competition performance

  • Coaches are responsible for ensuring that a representative is available at the music booth when teams / athletes compete


  • Routine choreography should be appropriate for all ages

  • All music must be age and family appropriate

  • Teams and athletes must be dressed in the appropriate uniform/costume during prize giving

  • All participants agree to conduct themselves in a manner displaying good sportsmanship throughout the event. The club contact person is responsible for seeing that team members, coaches, parents, and any other affiliated persons conduct themselves appropriately

  • Severe demonstrations of unsportsmanlike conduct are grounds for disqualification or deductions
